About

Voclit

The Writers’ Literary Vocabulary (Voclit) is a permanent terminological work that draws on artists' comments about their works and related themes. The corpus consists mainly of letters, diaries, interviews, and local journalistic essays by major writers of world literature.

Voclit offers different search methods: by author, literary category or entry. It is available in Portuguese, with the possibility of translating the interface into English.

It accepts and solicits collaboration from researchers, through expressions of interest addressed to voclit@proton.me. Messages regarding suggestions, inaccuracies, and problems with the site can also be sent to this contact.

Voclit was conceived in 2023 and its first online version was launched in 2025 at https://voclit.com.br. From 2024 to 2028, the project maintains an institutional link with the Postgraduate Program in Linguistic Studies at the Federal University of Uberlândia, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Guilherme Fromm.
